Playing under the sheets while Aaron and I try to make the bed. I remember doing this at my Grandmas. She would probably throw the sheets up for 10 minutes because we loved it so much. I'll never forget those precious times at Grandmas house. :) I love seeing Brooklyn discover and experience new things.

Beautiful Things
Just heard the song "Beautiful Things" by Gungor. I love this song so much. Just pausing today to be thankful for my Husband, Daughter and mostly thankful God gave his son so that I may have a life filled with joy; a life that isn't so scary, hopeless and messy. Here are the lyrics:
"Beautiful Things"
All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all. All this earth...
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all?
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of dust.
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us.
All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found-in You.
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust.
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us.
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust.
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us.
You make me new, You are making me new.
You make me new, You are making me new.
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust. You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us.

Epic
Surprised BK and took her to see Epic. I couldn't help but get her out as much as possible before surgery because I knew we would be cooped in for about 2 weeks.
Kiddy Day Camp
"I" is for insects was the theme of the day camp at the nature center. I took Brooklyn the day before her surgery so she could have some fun! They painted, made crafts and learned lots about insects! We went to Popeyes afterward and had a delicious lunch! Brooklyn was cracking me up-dancing at our table whole she ate. We had a fun mommy daughter day.
Chalk-ing
Mom came over to help and we got Brooklyn outside to do some chalking. Cindy, Jaxson and Miranda were headed over in a couple days so we drew Jax a ninja turtle. :)
Week 1 after Surgery
BK finally started sleeping and napping well. She ate several Popsicles and bowls of ice cream. We even went to Cherry Berry towards the end of the week and took Candy Land just so she could get out a little and play. We got lots of new iPad games and painted nails. It was a long week! We are just so glad we haven't seen any bleeding.
Extra Medicine
Tonsils, Adenoids, Tubes
Brooklyn had surgery on Thursday 6/6. Today is day 5 and she is doing well. We had one rough day with a lot of pain. The worst day was yesterday when I had to spend 13 hours at work instead of with her. Mostly, we've had to just try to keep her from jumping, playing, flipping, etc. No bleeding yet and she's still taking medicine without too much of a fight. Right after she received her versed, she became really loopy with slurred speech. Se kept telling us we had 2 eyes (as opposed to...?) and when the anesthesiologist walked up she informed him that his head was bald. She also asked if he cut all his hair off about halfway into his speech about her anesthesia. I'm so so thankful she is doing so well.
