Super Bird

I have to document Brooklyn's birdie. A lady gave this porcelain-like bird to Brooklyn at an arts and crafts fair. I bought candles and a little bird nest from her and she insisted Brooklyn take the bird as well. It has been Brooklyn's favorite toy. She never gets tired of playing with it. Usually, she is careful. I dropped it on the tile once (hence the hello kitty band-aid because I couldn't find all the missing pieces). This last week she broke it 3 times! I don't know how many times I can super glue this thing together but I won't give up now!!!

No more tubes!

Brooklyn's right tune fell out and for now she doesn't need another set and the perforations are closing properly. Praise the Lord! We prayed and prayed for her little ears to heal. Yay!

Precious Moments

As a mother, I pay attention to the strangest things. I always notice how Brooklyn still curls her little feet up when shes drinking like she did as a newborn and how quickly her precious little hand is growing. Holding her hand warms my heart. She likes to get help from Daddy to brush her teeth. Little moments like these make me smile.

Water Babies

Princess pic and swimming with Madison and Kalob. No one would stay still long enough for pictures but they had a blast. Brooklyn really "came out her her shell" with swimming and started jumping off the side and being more daring since Madison was. That is good and bad! She does well being safe and I pray she continues to.

Scatter Sunshine

“The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Scatter sunshine, forget self, think of others."-Norman Vincent Peale

When you lose someone you love, you really think about life and it's purpose...Why are we here? If we just live a little while and die, what is the purpose? What makes me truly happy or fulfilled? Through prayer, grieving, and laying awake at night, all I can hold onto is that life's purpose is to love those close to you and even show kindness to those who are not. Give and give wholeheartedly. It doesn't have to be monetary. Give a listening ear, give a hand to open a door for someone, give a voice to speak up so that someone in a wheel chair may easily get by a crowded room, give your spot in line to a single mother trying to keep up with three kids, give time. Give yourself a healthy life so that you may have energy and positivity to give to others. Live your life to scatter sunshine.
