Protein, protein!

Aaron and I really love that the hospital I work at gives a big discount for the gym. Brooklyn takes a swim class there and loves going to the childcare there. We decided on Thursday to go to a class titled "Navy Seals"...scary? Yes! Haha! Heather, I have even more respect for you! ;) we did over 100 push ups (as a sequence thing-not exactly in a row) and all different types of pull ups for over 20 minutes for sure...along with cardio, abs, etc. Needless to say, it is Sunday and I am still unbelievably sore. Gonna go to the pool today and hope swimming will stretch out my muscles in a less painful way. To help our muscles recover, I wanted to make something with a lot of protein. I made BBQ black bean, chicken burritos. I finally found a BBQ sauce without high fructose corn syrup and used cage free chicken free of antibiotics, steroids and hormones. Mix with black beans and serve in whole wheat tortillas! Fast and easy! One serving of black beans has 7g of protein! This recipe from Jillian Michaels meal plan has 34.9g of protein!!!! Who needs protein shakes?! I can hardly stand the taste anyway. ;)
